Going:

| 16:25 Class B H'cap 7f
(+31) |
S/S Index 8.40 - 8.80 |
Court Masterpiece. E.A.L.Dunlop:- Fast
improving four year old with the perfect profile for 7f. on fast ground.
(Negative on Good.). Exceptional run latest when beaten only a short
head by Material Witness
In 7f. Bunbury Cup at Newmarket early July. Started at odds of 10/1
in that race and suspect today the main target. Would have preferred
to see marginally more stamina in the pedigree for this stiff 7f.
otherwise difficult to fault. Stable form below average = 24% win
and placed. (Last 14 days.) RESULT WON 7/1.
Format explanation:-
Distance. 7f. (Seven furlongs.) (+31) Figure in
brackets indicates whether this is an easy (-) or a stiff 7 furlongs
(+). In this case very stiff. ( A minus figure would indicate that
the distance is on the easy side.)
S / S Index:- This is the Speed/Stamina Index
that is used for all 7 furlong races. (This index is the average
with a small tolerance margin for all previous winners over this
distance.) To have a perfect Speed / Stamina balance for 7f. a race
contender’s S/S Index must fall between 8.40 – 8.80.
In our example only Court Masterpiece
with an index of 8.46 qualifies. In other words
he has the perfect blend of speed to stamina for 7f.
Note:- High indexes indicate Stamina. Low indexes indicate
Speed.
Column
1:- Forecast S. P - All leading
market contenders usually up to 10/1 are analysed.
Column
2:- Name of runner.
Column
3:- Sire line index for forecast
going. In this example the forecast favourite Vortex is by
the sire Danehill. Runners by Danehill have an above average strike
rate on Good/Firm ground. This is indicated by a plus figure.
Column
4:- Dam line index for forecast
going. In this example the damsire of Vortex is Vaguely Noble. Runners
with a Vaguely Noble dam sire have a below average strike rate on
Good/Firm ground. This is indicated by a minus figure.
Column
5:- S/S Index.(Distance.) - This
is the unique Speed/Stamina or distance index for the individual
runner. Ideally this should fall between the S/S Index margins quoted
in the race title.
Column
6:- Draw - Starting gate draw.
On certain courses depending on stall positioning there can be a
few lengths advantage dependant on a number of factors. When this
is certain the draw column will be marked +. In this example the
draw plays no part (0).
Column
7:- Age - Young horses have the
physical ability to improve, usually up to the age of four years
when they are near full maturity. This can mean that previous form
levels can be deceptive. ALL runners up to the age of four are credited
with a +. Those that qualify in this race are:-
Court Masterpiece. New Seeker. St.Andrews.
Column
8:- Form Level - All race results
are analysed by the unblinkered.com team and form figures generated
to indicate the ability of the individual thoroughbred. Our UK horse
racing form ratings are updated daily and adjusted to reflect our
pedigree analysis of the individual runner for the race under analysis.
In our example taking into account the weights that are to be
carried we have:-
Vortex +2. Court Masterpiece +1. St.
Andrews +1.
This means that at the weights using our UK horse racing
form ratings the above horses have an advantage.
So using the tables we can analyse this race:-
Vortex and St. Andrew are negative for both
going and distance.
Court Masterpiece however is:-
- Positive on form
level at the weights.
- Positive on both
sire and dam lines for the Good/Firm ground.
- Positive on S/S
Index for the race distance.
- Positive as regards
age so improvement on previous form possible.
Individual comments are given on all runners with positive indexes
on both the sire line and the dam line for any given race. Included
in the comment is the stable win and placed percentage over the
last 14 days. With the equine virus that has plagued stables this
season and others this is a vital factor. ALL the facts
you need are available AT A GLANCE.
EQUALLY important for those subscribers using the
exchanges are the NEGATIVE runners.
The above format has been designed to supply you with all the information
needed to isolate any negative contenders at a moments notice.
