HOW TO USE UNBLINKERED RACE ANALYSIS.
The unblinkered race card will provide you with:- The two factors that determine most race results i.e:-
- A runners genetic ability to act on the prevailing going.
- A runners genetic ability to win over the race distance.
Step 1.
Going. Table indexes plus or minus indicate which runners are genetically suited by the prevailing going.
Experience shows us that a certainty exists when positive indexes are present on both the sire and dam line.
These are the only runners that you need to consider.
As a general rule these are the only contenders that merit a comment in our analysis. The only exception to this is when variable weather conditions exist and a possible going change may occur on race day.
Step 2.
Distance. In the race title our Speed/Stamina index margins apply specifically to that particular race distance.
Take the runners that qualify in Step 1. (Positive indexes present on both sire and dam line.) Rule out any qualifiers that have a S/S Index below the bottom margin. These runners have too much speed present in their pedigree for the race distance.
Although ideally we are searching for those runners with a S/S Index (Distance.) that falls between the margins (Perfect Profile), never rule out those with an index above the higher margin unless this is excessive. (Stamina.). Our experience proves that stamina is the decisive factor in a race finish even in sprints over five and six furlongs.
Step 3.
Form level. This column indicates the unblinkered rating based on previous form. Take the qualifiers from steps 1 and 2 and note those runners with a plus figure in this column.
These are the potential race winners..
Comments:-Basic facts on past efforts are given here with particular attention paid to recent form which is important, also notice on first time blinkers or visor etc.The actual distance quoted in all comments is the ideal for that runner based on known pedigree facts.
General.
Beware entries that have registered a very high form rating i.e. above + 4. They can and will defy negative going conditions.
Beware the young thoroughbred on his or her debut even when all conditions are favourable. A considerate run here will always pay future dividends.
Look out for short priced runners that have major negative going indexes coupled with a S/S Index. (Distance.) below the minimum in the race title. For subscribers using the exchanges these are profitable LAYS.
Stable form is very important particularly with the equine virus infections that are commonplace every season. A win and placed percentage over the previous fourteen days is a reliable guide. Average = 32%. Some allowance can be made for the smaller yards.
Conclusion
unblinkered.com used simply as above will, in the long term, make your racing both more enjoyable and profitable.
